This is a charity event and we raise funds for South Central Cancer Resource, an entirely non profit/non gov't funded organization that supports cancer patients and their families. Each contestant is required to either collect $50 in pledges or pay $50 in lieu of collecting pledges. Reduced minimum pledge requirement for families of 4+ competing on the day. We collect this separate from entry fees so that charitable tax receipts can be issued. CRA does not allow charitable tax receipts given for funds coming from entrance fees. There are prizes for the highest fundraisers. We usually have several individuals who raise well over a grand, each.

We will have added money - to be determined. Buckles to the champions, fast time prizes and other prizes through at least 3rd place.

We are also hosting a Mike & Sherrylynn Johnson Vegas Tuffest Team Roping Qualifier following the charity roping. Will only run this if we have at least 5 team entries, which is the minimum requirement. Contestants must purchase a Vegas Tuffest membership at JohnsonSportline.com before competing ($125 USD online or $150 USD at the roping). EF is $100 USD per roper. There will be a stock fee on top of that but haven't confirmed the amount yet.

And we've also got a Charity Breakaway Roping - ladies open, senior and junior classes. Ropers who enter both the team roping and breakaway roping only pay the additional fees (admin/photo) once for the day. If they also enter the barrel racing, no additional admin fee but there is an additional photography fee for the barrel race.
